March 2016 Enhancements

Here are some highlights from the 100+ improvements in March 2016:

  1. Cart Abandonment Using Custom Channels  Read More

Instead of sending a triggered email like a normal ESP (Email Service Provider), FTP ESP loads a small CSV file via FTP (File Transfer Protocol: either SFTP or FTPS) onto your FTP Server, containing the same information as would be used to send that email (email address, mapped fields etc). Either one file per send, or one file for all the sends in a period of time.

You integrate by writing a simple program to scan for these files, read the contents, and trigger a corresponding action in whatever custom technology you use.

  2. Improvements to "Best Category" Recommendation Smartblocks Read More

    • Only include Categories within certain Category Groups, e.g. "Electronics Department"
    • Always include some Categories, e.g. "Special Offers"
    • Always exclude some Categories, e.g. "Gifts" and "Cart Fillers"
    • Always ignore some Category Groups, e.g. "Size" and "Weight"
  3. Billing option to add Custom SmartBlocks to plans that don't include this.

For example to allow popover forms on Basic/Pro plans.
  4. Added help on the Countdown Timer page

This is useful where text format dates are being captured into person document fields, and then need to be used in Smart Blocks calculations. Explanatory text and examples have been added to the help page.
  5. Product and cart data supported in Custom Signals,

Just like the way that Basket and Browse Abandon signals already work. This includes a Custom Signal having a cart value/price.
  6. Make The Most Of Our Social Media  Read More

For example we have 1400+ examples of Web and Email Marketing on Pinterest
