Here’s a roundup of the Q1 2021 platform enhancements that were specifically designed in response to suggestions from our client base.
Banner carousel template
Challenge: Desire to better capitalize on hero banner space by showing multiple messages.
Solution: Our banner carousel layout allows up to 3 banners to be revolved live in-page.
So what: This template is already available for you to use. Get helpful tips and pointers here.
Coupon upload expansion
Challenge: System previously limited to uploading 10k unique coupon codes at a time, which was time consuming for large campaigns.
Solution: You can now upload codes via a .txt file for over 2 million codes (dependent on code size, 20MB file limit).
So what: Easily add more codes than you need to avoid running out. If you’re not using unique codes you may wish to consider this to protect your life-stage incentives being globally shared. Check out our video on using the Coupon SmartBlock.
Image hosting now in Fresh
Challenge: Images used in SmartBlocks previously needed to be hosted by the client, which created extra steps when using SmartBlocks.
Solution: Image upload functionality has now been added, so you can upload or drag and drop the images directly into your SmartBlock. You can still use already hosted content as before.
So what: Everything can be kept directly in Fresh, making your life easier!
Excluding recently recommended filter enhancements
Challenge: When using multiple recommendation blocks, you may wish to exclude recently recommended products to ensure a good mixture of recommendations. However, in email this refresh of products may not be desirable.
Solution: Greater flexibility added that can allow products to persist within the same recommendation SmartBlock rather than refreshing. This is great for customers who might save the email for later.
So what: Have you considered duplication across your recommendations before?
New feature announcement
A/B testing: Auto-ending
Our first in a fleet of new optimization features.
You can now set your tests to end after a set period of time or number of impressions, with the most effective program or piece of content being implemented after ending.
Marketing Rule Updates
New marketing rules and updates have been added to further enhance customer targeting:
- Broadened product targeting to include non-category/id fields - reference additional fields about the product, such as name, URL etc. when using the has browsed/carted Rules.
- Access recent cart value rules – Personalize content based on the recent cart value
- Define timeframes for purchases – The ‘Has purchased’ rule can now specify a date range to define a period for purchase e.g. in the last X days
