This week, we’re shining the spotlight on our Vice President, Customer, Huriyyah Dhanse.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
Oh gosh, it’s really hard to choose one thing. I love speaking to clients, understanding their challenges and working with them to turn them into successes.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Every day is so different – I often find myself in client accounts reviewing how they are performing. I have calls booked in, and constantly think about how I can bring innovation to the team and our clients.
As I manage the team, I spend a lot of time taking feedback onboard and ensuring that our processes are aligned so that our clients can make the most out of our products and services. I’m always up for trying new things as I feel this is how we can differentiate ourselves from others.
What interesting projects are you working on right now?
I’ve just spent the last few weeks hiring. I’ve got two new starters joining over the next month. The team is growing again, and it’s just so exciting! In addition to that, I’m supporting the team on all the exciting new initiatives they are working on. The list is endless!
What would your top tip be for anyone getting started with personalization?
Map out your customer journey – planning is key.
What is customer journey mapping I hear you say?
Customer journey mapping is the process of identifying the interactions that customers experience throughout their relationship with your business, plotting them out into a logical order and optimizing them continuously.
It’s really important to think about each stage of the customer’s life cycle and how you can improve this. I wrote an article on customer journey mapping last year. Have a read, it hits the nail on the head.
When you’re not busy helping clients, what do you get up to in your free time?
I’m a mama to a little man called Lu’ay. I love waking up every morning being greeted by his wild excitement to start a new day. I’m also always trying to find new ways to entertain him! If I’m not doing that then I’m cooking and baking. I have taken my love for food up one level by starting my very own Instagram page. I recently hosted a bake along with my team and inspired people to cook who didn’t think it was possible.
