Today, at the Fresh Relevance Digital Summit, we announced our technical partnership and integration with the Open Source Progressive Web App (PWA) for eCommerce, Vue Storefront.
We have created a module which provides a simple and robust way to integrate Fresh Relevance’s personalization into your Vue Storefront store – no extra development work required.

Headless commerce is the concept of separating the presentation layer of your eCommerce site (the section that your customers interact with) from the backend that deals with the order handling, product catalogue and a myriad of other functions (such as Magento, Shopify, BigCommerce and many many more). This allows each side to excel at what it does best, and allows you the flexibility to scale and the agility to make changes.
PWAs can be thought of as the bridge between web and mobile. They combine the experience of native mobile apps (add to home screen, offline access, push notifications) with the performance and turnaround time of the web (no more waiting for app store approvals!). A unified experience across web and mobile and deep indexing by Google are the cherry on top of the cake.
How Vue Storefront fits the bill
Vue Storefront combines both of these – it combines a super-fast PWA UI with a layer that talks to your existing eCommerce platform via APIs. This opens up the possibility of avoiding either a costly custom PWA build, or a time-consuming replatforming exercise. Simply connect up Vue Storefront to your existing backend, adjust the UI to your requirements and transition to your new performant, consistent customer experience.
