Cart and Browse Abandonment solutions from Fresh Relevance help IronmongeryDirect achieve a 7.2% average sales uplift

Background

IronmongeryDirect is the UK’s largest supplier of specialist ironmongery, supplying architectural ironmongery to builders, joiners and shop fitters for over 40 years. They were first introduced to Fresh Relevance in 2014 when they asked their email service provider (DotMailer) to recommend a new cart abandonment solution.

Result

In IronmongeryDirect’s journey, a customer will receive an email 30 minutes after they have abandoned their shopping basket and again after 24 hours, if they have not returned to complete their order. “At least 4% of our weekly sales revenues can be directly attributed to our abandonment activity, which in 2016 represents an average sales uplift of 7.2%," comments Yolanda Denkmayer The CRM and Retention Executive at IronmongeryDirect.
